Yoga & Meditation teaching
I’ve been fortunate enough to teach in some of the world’s most incredible yoga studios, one of my favourites of which is pictured above; at Aro Ha Wellness’s beautiful New Zealand retreat, where I was leading a men’s Lululemon event.
My teaching style is accessible yet demanding, creating challenges that build strength in the body, mind, and soul. I have over 400hrs of training in Vinyasa, Tantra Hatha, and trauma-informed yoga, (and have an Iyengar teacher as a mother) so I bring many different perspectives to my classes.

Retreat Leader
I was a retreat leader at Aro Ha Wellness in New Zealand, and can say with much gratitude that it was 18 of the most influential and formative months I’ve lived. I taught yoga and meditation, led hikes and HIIT work outs, ran hydro-contrast therapy sessions, and gave speeches on many aspects of the wellness world, from fasting to the power of silence.
Many of the guests I helped lead through these 6 or 8 day Wellness retreats quite literally shared that it was life-changing. This work may have just been the most impactful work I’ll ever do.

Kirtan: music and mantra
Kirtan is musical meditation, where mantra and music combine to take participants to spaces within themselves they did not know they could go. I led a weekly kirtan at Nadi Queenstown during my time in New Zealand, and I’ve led kirtan evenings at studios and festivals around the world, from Wellington NZ to Cheshire UK to Salt Spring Island BC.
Opening my eyes mid-mantra to see dozens (or hundreds) of people on their feet dancing during my session is a truly wonderful, spiritual experience.
TOM’S YOGA JOURNEY:
I began my yoga journey in early 2014, inspired by my mum and late grandfather, encouraged by yogi friends, and driven by a need to slow my heart rate in the fast paced film and photography world.
After completing two Modern Yogi projects with the senior teachers at Power Living Australia, I knew I'd found a practice that not only felt great in my body, but brought peace and clarity to my mind.
In 2016 I took my practice to an advanced level by completing an internationally accredited 200hr Vinyasa Teacher Training course at the Hare Krishna School of Yogic Studies in NSW, Australia. 2018 saw me complete a further 200hrs of training at the renowned Bali-based studio The Practice where I dived deep into the traditional and energetic teachings of Tantra; a training that would re-sculpt my outlook on yoga, and life. I’ve also taken short trainings in Yoga for Trauma, in Ayurveda, and meditation.
I’ve taught privately in Australia, at retreats and studios in Sri Lanka and New Zealand, and in studios in Vancouver BC.
Through teaching yoga and meditation, I've found a true calling and a passion for helping gain peace of mind.
